RDI Diamonds® was founded by CEO Michael Indelicato as Rochester Diamonds Incorporated, a small jewelry business that Mr. Indelicato ran from his mother’s basement in the late 1980s. The company was a true family business, with both Michael and his GIA Graduate Gemologist sister, Sara Lajuett, working to build a specialty brand that focused solely on quality diamonds and true customer appreciation and service. Shortened to the name RDI Diamonds® in the early ‘90s, the company steadily flourished into an international leader among wholesale diamond distributors, maintaining double-digit growth for over 25 years.
